A Priceless Heritage...
The box of family treasures that Carr and Willie Stolworthy sent to me in 2006 after our meeting at the Knight Family Reunion was more precious than rubies and gold. So meaningful and full of insight about our common ancestors and family members; and so obviously creative of a literary nature were they, that I was sent on a two year detour in my family history research to work solely on what has become "The Stolworthy Family Memories."
The treasures included several original typescripts about the lives of our family members as well as one of kind images that could be reclaimed in Photoshop.
Presented here are the key stories that represent the source documents that Mavon Herring used to turn life sketch narratives to a "first person" text. The resulting story has been well received by believing descendants - via CD, booklet form and online PDF!
We place great value in the "Original" writings of the Pioneer era. I had been aware that they existed but had not been able to put my hands on them. Now, it was possible to digitize them so they could be shared with family folk. The process involved submitting the old typescripts to OCR, then retyping into modern text files, and exporting them as PDFs. With the help of my wife, Alene that is what we did. Here they are freely offered for your edification.
